Hiking in an exuberant nature

Because of its size, the country has no less than five different climates and as many landscapes carved by its hand. While it will be difficult to visit all the parks because of their remoteness, you will necessarily find one within reach no matter where you are. To name a few:

  • Iguasu with its famous falls
  • Chapada Diamantina and its green canyons
  • Lençois with its water-filled dunes
  • Anavilhanas in the Amazon rainforest

Discover a melting pot of cultures

Brazil’s history is made up of large immigration flows. While Europeans make up the bulk of immigrants, Africans were also forcibly brought in during the years of slavery. In addition, many diasporas flocked: Japanese, Lebanese… (source wikipedia). Finally, indigenous peoples are still present, although regularly threatened. This diversity is related to the country’s cultural richness.

Browse a mix of gastronomy

The cultural diversity mentioned below is inevitably found in Brazilian gastronomy. For example, the original dishes have often been adapted with local ingredients. To quote some of the typical Brazilian dishes:

  • Feijoada: The national dish, made with black beans and pork.
  • Bobo de camaro: a shrimp soup.
  • Coxinha: kind of ball of minced chicken meat, covered with dough, breaded and fried.
  • Feijoada: kind of Cassoulet.
  • Paçoca: peanut-based dessert.
