What trip after confinement?

As I write these few lines, it is still difficult to know exactly what the rules will be during this period. Nevertheless, it is possible to draw some conclusions and anticipate some possible scenarios. So what trip after confinement?

Solo or in a group?

It is likely that travel with large enough groups will not be popular in order to limit the risk of contamination. The solo trip inevitably limits the risks. It also limits social interaction after a period when we have missed it. Even if he has his aficionados who will be delighted to find him, it is not a widespread format. Small groups therefore presents the best alternative. Travelling with family or friends is a great compromise. Treks are often practiced in small groups, it is a particularly well adapted format.

For what type of tourism?

Cultural tourism is likely to be complicated. Museums and other highly visited monuments are likely to be severely restricted, resulting in even longer queues. It is therefore better to focus on nature tourism, which we hope will be feasible again, because the health risks are less. Once again, trekking or hiking seems a wise choice.

In which country?

In France first and foremost

It’s the safest choice. Indeed, if the de-containment is spread according to the regional territories, then everyone will be able to discover the beauties of his region. If it opens up a little more, we will be free to travel to France. And there is plenty to do: between sea, ocean, forest and mountains, the choices are many. In addition, the journey can be done by car, which is the most safe compared to the virus. A trek in the Alps, for example, do you like it?

In Europe perhaps

Depending on the policies of each European country, it may be possible to walk in the volcanoes of the Canary Islands or Iceland. And why not discover the mountain ranges and wonders of our neighbors. On the other hand, if the car remains possible for certain destinations, the plane will be imposed for many of them.

Elsewhere in the world, let’s dream a little!

If airlines adapt their flight to sanitary conditions, it will be possible to travel to many countries. However, be sure to check traffic conditions in each country.

So where are you going to go?

I may be optimistic, but I hope that we can regain some of our freedom as early as the summer. And after all this time stuck at home, it will be good to stretch your legs and breathe full lungs! So, for you, what trip after confinement? And to help you, take a look at our dedicated article to choose your destination .
