In our case, we did the 25 bumps hike at Fontainebleau. If it is not very long (about 16 kms), it contains a lot of difficult passages that slow the progression. Do not panic though: it’s always possible to get around the hard points.
The good thing is that in addition to walking, you’ll find:
- a bit of climbing (circumvented)
- a little adrenaline with strides of ravines (also circumvented).
This only “bad” point is that the views, overlooking the forest, are not very varied.
We started at 10:30 and finished at 19h. This includes breaks such as lunch, snacks and other rest. And also includes slow walking from the 20th bump, due to a heavy blow of fatigue of my 12 years old daughter. An excellent day outdoor!
