Discover the cultural heritage

Did you know that Nepal is the birthplace of Buddha? More precisely, he was born in Lumbini. It is therefore legitimate that the country has become a high place of spirituality. You will also find a good number of religious buildings. To name a few:

  • Swayambhunath stupa with its panorama over Kathmandu
  • Pashupatinath Hindu temple: dedicated to cremations, cannot be visited but with architecture worth seeing

Despite the 2015 earthquake, Nepalese cities have retained the finery of the past. If a visit to the historic heart of Kathmandu is a must, you can also set your sights on the equally interesting city of Patan. Unless you prefer the more traditional charm of Bhaktapur.

Festivals and celebrations are especially plentiful in Nepal. Moreover, almost every month, has its cultural manifestation. During a trip, it is therefore often possible to participate in one of its festivals to experience Nepalese culture as closely as possible and meet many jubilant people.

Get close to wild animals
