Why hiking in Tanzania?

As I write these lines, it is one of the few countries with the least stringent criteria to go there. It is therefore an opportunity to discover its famous landscapes such as that of Kilimanjaro or its particularly rich fauna… But let’s take a closer look at why you’re hiking in Tanzania.

This mountain, consisting of three volcanoes, is one of the most emblematic in the world. And for good reason, it’s not only the highlight of Africa, but also it has been the focus of the attention of many artists. Indeed, songs and films follow one another to immortalize the snows of Kilimandaro…

Tanzania, with Kenia, is famous for its safaris. Indeed, the plains of the Serengeti, in particular, is home to big cats such as lions and leopards, but also large herbivores such as elephants or wildebeest. A stay in Tanzania is often the occasion of a few days of savannah safari as close to nature as possible.

But it is not the only park in the country, you can also admire the baobabs in Tarangire Park, the pink flamingos of Ngorongoro Crater or opt for the huge Selous reserve less touristy and unfortunately more poached.

Discover the Maasai culture

In addition to the cultural differences that can be found when moving from one country to another, Tanzania is home to a nomadic people with ancestral traditions: the Maasai. It is an opportunity to discover a way of life adapted to their environment and nature.
