After a good night in our guest house in the mountains, we leave in order to arrive in the early evening from Asraf to Bukhara. On the way, we make a few stops to get an overview of the stages of the trek that we unfortunately do not have time to do ourselves. Oxrum and Mojrum are part of these mountain villages, which like Asraf, the day before, could have welcomed us after a day of walking.
After a few hours on the road, we have the opportunity to take a cultural break. indeed, the city of Nurota in the province of Navoi shelters a particular site: the sacred source Tchachma. The complex has two mosques and the source is filled with fish. In addition, on the hill overlooking the source, there are the ruins of a fortress built by Alexander the Great.
This is an opportunity to see our first seraglio caravan: it is the Rabat-i Malik. One of the largest of medieval times in Central Asia according to Wikipedia. With the exception of the large door and the adjoining wall, however, only the foundations remain. This still gives a good idea of the dimensions!
We arrive at the end of the afternoon in Bukhara, at the heart of the Silk Road. After a first quick walk to locate the places, we will have dinner. Following which, we will discover the city at night. Indeed, the lighting particularly highlights the different monuments of the city. A few colorful stalls that remain open add to the charm of the night lights. We end the day delighted.
