This day will be broken down into two parts. The first consists of a transfer to our starting point of the trek near Ouarzazate. The second, meanwhile, is a three-hour desert walk. But make way for the story:
After a good breakfast of Berber pancakes and mint tea, we set off to reach the start. After about five hours on the road, and a quick souk break in this city, we join the mule drivers.
The walk in this desert part will last approximately three hours. We fill up with water in an oasis of greenery near a spring. Like all the following days, the mule drivers, although leaving after us, we will overtake and have time to set up the bivouac before our arrival.
And what a bivouac! In addition to our tents for the night, we have a tent for catering and a tent “toilet” … The cook will cook us dishes worthy of a restaurant every day.
This second day of walking will have been quite short, since it ends three hours after our start of the trek near Ouarzazate. But this will not be the case for the third…
