When you do not have many days ahead, it is often possible to find a hike next to your home. This time, we set our sights on a hiking in the Yvette valley between nature and city.
The journey consists of walking from park to park. A small portion of the path is not practicable at this time. This is a portion along the Yvette, it is however simple to make a small detour in the city to continue the walk. Some pictures to illustrate it:
I only had my phone for the photos, so I couldn’t take everything. In particular, in the herons park, we saw several … inevitably herons! and a pheasant … But without zoom, impossible to highlight these birds in a photo …
The ride is quiet, almost no elevation and varied. There is even a passage in an abandoned university site which gives a post-apocalyptic impression! For a bit, you could think you were in Fallout (you have to be a geek to know I imagine). And it ends with a touch of culture with a passage through the cemetery to see the tomb of Fernand Léger.
And for those who would like to do this hiking in the Yvette valley, find all the information on this link visorando (in french though).
